This commission was for a faceplate to be attached to an existing helmet. The influences obviously include Baldwin's mask from "Kingdom of Heaven", but but with a few personalized touches.

 

 

 

  
   
The mask was sunken and raised from 16 gauge stainless steel, and etched with ferric chloride. I'm told the text is an Arabic translation of a treatise on the knightly virtues....
